Mamet is an award winning playwright, writing such plays as "Oleanna," "Glengarry Glen Ross" (winner of the 1984 Pulitzer Prize and the New York Drama Critics Circle Award), "American Buffalo," "Speed-the-Plow" and "Boston Marriage."
He's written screenplays for movies like "The Verdict," "The Untouchables" and "Wag The Dog." He's also written and directed the films "Homicide," "The Spanish Prisoner," "State and Main," "Heist" and "Spartan." He's also a novelist, having written "The Village," "The Old Religion" and "Wilson."
